Privacy policy

What data we process, how long we keep it and who we share it with, in plain words.

In short

You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email. We don't use cookies or analytics tools. We don't store stories on our servers.

What data we process

The username you search: it is sent to our server and to our data provider Apify to load the stories. So that a repeat search is fast, the result (public story links) is cached: usually for up to 10 minutes, and up to 30 minutes for accounts with many stories. Then it is deleted automatically.

Your IP address: to prevent abuse we limit searches per hour. For this, your IP address is kept with a counter for about 1 hour, then deleted automatically.

Technical logs: our hosting provider Vercel keeps request logs (IP address, browser information, time), as with any website. Our own logs contain the searched username, how long the search took and the result (for example stories found or not found). To track costs we keep daily search counts and a list of the last 50 searches (username, result, time). This list contains no IP addresses.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. It is only shared with the providers the service needs to work: Vercel (hosting), Upstash (cache and search limits) and Apify (loading public Instagram data). These providers may process data on servers in other countries.

Your rights and contact

To use your rights under GDPR and similar laws (access, deletion, objection), write to us at contact@anonstoryig.com. Since most data is deleted automatically within an hour, there is usually nothing stored.

If you own an account and don't want its content shown on this site, write to us with your username. We can block it. The most lasting option is to make your account private.

Changes

If we start using ads, analytics or cookies, we will update this page first. Last updated: 2026-11-03.
