How to download Instagram video stories
Type the username of a public account above. Video stories are marked with a Video label. Tap a video to watch it, or use the Download button under it to save it.
Videos download as MP4 files with sound, in the highest resolution Instagram serves. If a long story was split into several parts, each part shows up as its own story.
If a video won't play in your browser
Instagram serves some videos in newer formats like VP9 or AV1. Older iPhones and some Safari versions can't play them.
In that case the card shows a short notice. You can still download the video: tap Download and open the file in a player that supports the format.
What the Instagram story viewer shows
Every story a public account posted in the last 24 hours, as photos and videos. Private accounts don't share their stories publicly, so no tool can show them.
Current stories
All stories the account posted in the last 24 hours, in the order they went up. Photos and videos are clearly marked.
Download in original quality
Videos save as MP4 and photos as JPG, at the highest resolution Instagram serves them. No watermark is added.
No Instagram account needed
You don't log in and your account is never used, so your name is not added to the viewers list and the account owner gets no notification.
