Does Instagram show who viewed your story?
Short answer: in the Instagram app, yes, your name shows up. If you watch without using your account, it doesn't. Try it below.
Example: natgeo or instagram.com/natgeo
What happens when you view a story in the Instagram app
When you open a story while logged in to Instagram, your username is added to that story's viewers list. The person who posted it can see who watched.
It doesn't matter if you only opened it for a second or closed it right away. Your name is added the moment the story opens, and there's no way to undo it.
The honest way to watch without being seen
The viewers list is made of the Instagram accounts that opened the story. If the story is opened without any account, there's no name to add to the list.
That's exactly what this tool does: it loads stories from public data, not through your account. So the account owner can't see that you watched.
Know the limits too: only current stories from public accounts can be shown. No tool can show stories from private accounts.
Are "who viewed my profile" apps real?
No. Instagram doesn't share who visits your profile with anyone. Apps that claim to show it are guessing, or they ask for your Instagram password. Never give your password to apps like that.
What the Instagram story viewer shows
Every story a public account posted in the last 24 hours, as photos and videos. Private accounts don't share their stories publicly, so no tool can show them.
Current stories
All stories the account posted in the last 24 hours, in the order they went up. Photos and videos are clearly marked.
Download in original quality
Videos save as MP4 and photos as JPG, at the highest resolution Instagram serves them. No watermark is added.
No Instagram account needed
You don't log in and your account is never used, so your name is not added to the viewers list and the account owner gets no notification.

FAQ
Can someone see that I viewed their Instagram story?
If you view it in the Instagram app with your account, yes, your name shows in the viewers list. If you view it with this tool without your account, it doesn't.
If I close the story right away, will I still show up?
Yes. Your name is added as soon as the story opens. How long you watch doesn't matter.
Does the owner get a notification when I use this tool?
No. The story is not opened with your account, so no notification is sent and your name is not in the viewers list.
Can I see who viewed my profile?
No. Instagram doesn't share that. Don't trust apps that promise it, and never give them your password.
